We are seeking a full-time NBA research assistant for about 4-5 hours a night. Seeking an NBA superfan with intimate knowledge and passion for the NBA and extremely strong English. Strong knowledge of the depth charts and rosters for the NBA is essential. You will be responsible for working with data sets- requiring meticulousness, thoroughness, and organization. Formal statistics is not required but is a huge plus, you would at least need an intuition and comfort working with numbers. Require 6 days a week once the NBA season starts in October, training will be paid to prepare for the season. If interested, submit a brief cover letter. 1) Your level of knowledge of the NBA (how strong is your knowledge of depth charts? How closely do you track NBA daily? Where do you get your NBA news, anything else relevant)? 2) Any experience or background working with statistics/math? List in detail. 3) Any experience or knowledge of advanced NBA statistics? I love NBA since I was six years old. I love watching any NBA team play basketball and check their stats and I also love to compare it to the legends of the game. I love mathematics that’s why I love checking stats too. Knowing who is the best in a certain category makes me knowledgeable about the game. PER and +/- are also the stats that I love to check. Every night I am watching The Undisputed, first take and more NBA related shows.

Hey there. Went through your project details regarding NBA Statistics Research Assistant and I think I'm a great fit for the job. Working with numbers is what I can completely deal with. I don't have prior experience with working as an NBA assistant but I have fully worked as a data entry expert for various companies. Though, I have a great deal of knowledge based on NBA. So, I think it will be easy for you and me as well. As you said a training would be done by the start of October, I believe that would make me prepared for the prospects of this job.
