Growler is project to build a browser operated web scrapping tool combined with a GUI. Its purpose is to run multiple searches on auction and search sites from a single point of entry of search term(s). Growler will present these results within the GUI and will offer various ways to filter, tag and edit these lists. Once a project has been set up with its search terms it can be saved, re run and edited. Growler will need to be able to be search by country designation, in multiple languages and overcome issues associated with repeated bot search blocking by some websites. Growler is to be deployed to look for counterfeit products on auction sites around the world such as Ebay and Ali Baba.
