Redeveloping and redesigning the WOMAN, Inc. website. We are doing this for many reasons...
1) To create a new online presence that is contemporary, easy to use and reflects who and what we are.
2) Incorporate our identity completely thus finishing the Identity Branding for WOMAN, Inc. (logo).
3) Ensure that the information is accurate, concise and inclusive.
4) Serve as the best possible resource for DV Information for survivors and the community.
... and so on. Obviously there are many many reasons.
Some areas that will be new and others will receive considerably more development attention include:
1) Creating an "new" online Volunteer Center.
2) Creating a proactive Development / Fundraising page and resources.
3) Updating resources and ensuring accuracy.
4) Inclusive language.
Area's of particular interest to the BOD should be..
1) Creating a Board of Directors page ... what you like to include?
2) The Development / Fundraising page. This of course is of key interest to me, your input is valuable.
## Deliverables
The site should have a CMS.
... Upon request please find a couple worksheet aids to assist the process.
1) A content site map, this is based on the current site, but has been expanded to include the two new Areas for Development & Volunteers. Please keep in mind this is only a content map, not a precise design or flow, it is a tool. I believe this is a 11x17 page.
2) Notes from the first staff site development meeting, it will give you an idea what some initial thoughts are. I left off some the "program" technical stuff as Ina Moon is going to be reviewing it for accuracy against current information.
Some Questions used in our meeting include:
1) What do you like about the current site?
2) What do you dislike about the current site?
3) What content needs to be added?
4) What content needs to be removed?
5) What would you like to see in the website? Visually, Flow, Picture & Graphically, etc!
6) What are you favorite social service agency website that we might use for design ideas?
