Document Template Design (XSL/XSLT/XSL-FO)

Qualified bidders must have experience with XML/XSLT/XSL-FO and transactional document design. Familiarity and experience with technical/marketing writing, social media, and e-marketing is a plus. Given: 1. Data: XML file. 2. Document design/Mockup: PDF, Microsoft Word document, or bitmap file. a. The document design/mockup may be accompanied by a written description defining elements’ positioning/layout specifications/rules. Tools (will be provided free of charge to the successful bidder): 1. RenderX VisualXSL visual editor 2. RenderX XEP XML to PDF rendering engine Deliverables: 1. PDF file generated from XML and conforming to the supplied (defined) document design/mockup. 2. VisualXSL project file and all its contents/resources (XSLT for rendering, graphic files, custom plugins, etc.) 3. Written instructions illustrating key steps of the project, including screenshots/pictures where applicable (the document may be posted on the Web and/or used for internal training purposes). 4. Additional video describing the process how the document was created (the video may be made available on the Web site or YouTube and/or used for internal training purposes). The project involves mostly designing the document template (XSLT) using VisualXSL’s graphical tools (GUI), yet some parts may require coding of custom XSLT plugins or editing of the generated XSLT by hand.
