Hi I am a senior Wordpress Developer from the US. I am in the East Coast. Generally Managed hosting solutions dont work too well for sites with lots of users. You get reeled in for the low hosting fee then they tell you that you are using too much resources and try to move you to a VPS or Dedicated server.
