EBay company looking to improve our interface by re-stylizing our template, and making it more user friendly. We are looking to improve our auction-template's usability, by making the format more user friendly. We do not want anything fancy! Just a clear and concise HTML template will be good enough. Since we do cater to many individuals that are not computer-proficient, we wish to keep the template simple. We cannot afford to lose customers because flash did not load, or they need to load java, etc. So no flash, or anything else is necessary.
Our priorities are:
Webpage load time. We want our page to load as quickly as possible.
Broad audience. We want to cater to as large an audience as possible. This means 800x600 resolution (for people still using old computers), etc. Our customers are mainly car guys, not computer people. So please take that into account
No fancy script. We do not want a customer leaving our auction because the page did not load for any reason. So do not include anything that will cause the page not to load due to missing applets, or require any type of download. We also would like the page to load on various browsers.
User Friendly. We need an auction-template that is user friendly, and not intimidating.
Clear and concise. We want our template to explain our policies as simply as possible. We hope to concentrate more on pictures than on text.

We would like our auctions to look more like this:

All in all, we just want a very basic site, this should be a very simply project. We hate what is complicated! So keep it simple and clean. Once the eBay web-template is complete, we are considering moving on to a full blown website, again, with the same exact emphasis, simple and concise, and professional. If you feel you are up to the challenge, please let us know. We look forward to working with you.
