Hi, I've made a page builder with the WordPress CMS and the plugin Advanced Custom Fields (ACF). The problem is there are lots and lots of fields on a page. This makes the page at the backend (admin area) load forever... In the video below you can see that it takes too long to load the page and you can also see how the page builder works. [login to view URL] I want it to load much faster. I checked Chrome Timeline and the main problem is loading all the HTML around the ACF fields. I think the solution is: - Prevent parsing HTML on page load of all the elements (the grey fields). - When you click on it the HTML should load (with that I mean the popup screen you see). However: all the field data should be loaded from the database on page load off course. Also I want the plugin Yoast SEO to stop analyzing all the ACF fields on default, but only when you click the button "Edit snippet" which is an existing button of the Yoast SEO plugin. I don't think this job is too hard. Something with jQuery to prevent ACF loading certain HTML based on an ID or class and on click load the HTML.
