Require a Service that will listen on the network for requests to communication with our devices -- similar to client/server model. This will net O/S transparent along with protocol transparency -- we would like it to use TCP/IP so any o/s can connect to the API/commands. This is Point of Sale based -- POS system will request our cash dispenser to process a cash sale only. Our devices are direct customer facing cash insert machines -- if customer pays by cash -- he inserts the cash directly into our devices which will then give change back etc.. there is no cashier involved in this process. ThE concept is the POS will open a port [login to view URL] to our software/workstation -- this new service/module will be the "gateway" which will communicate back and forth with the POS terminal and then start the transaction with the cash dispensing devices. once the transaction is completed the "service gateway" will send back the responses to the POS system.. Basically similar type of communcations as a PINPAD and POS System or a SQL Server and a client connection.. Must be local in Canada, Ontario, GTA as you will need access to the cash devices.
