The role of this application is to act as a URL trasnation solution for Search Marketing.? The application will recieve the click through from an SEM/SEO source, will redirect the URL to a new destination (search results page), will strip the source/keyword phrase (search term from the header), automatically append the rest of the variables from the original link ## Deliverables This is an application that has 3 primary parts. PART 1 - Web based configuration wizard 1.? Configuration Wizard 1.1 User creates an account? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? (user name, company name, password, kaptcha-esk validation) 1.2 The? **company name** becomes the user's new virtual URL ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ([login to view URL]) 1.4 The user provides an example URL (like those used for SEM) 1.4.1 The application dissects the URL, allowing the user to define variables to be kept 1.5 The user then defines a new destination URL ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ([login to view URL]) 1.6 The user then defines varibles to be appended to the URL based on a library of content INCLUDING 1.6.1 The content from 1.4 1.6.2 Captured Content (HTTP header including HTTP Referer? & Keywords) 1.6.3 Custom name value pairs 1.6.4 The user may flag any 2 variables to report on 1.7 The next screen is a QA screen where the user can? test changing? variable data in the? value pairs 1.7.1 The websitesite content loads into an iframe to show what would be seen on link click through 1.8 User saves the definitions 1.8.1 eMail is sent to the eMail adress on file 1.9 User activates the defintion 1.9.1 eMail is sent to the address on file LINK REDIRECTOR Links will come into the redirector from SEM/other marketing sources.? The link will be parsed and re-assembled based on the rules that the client has specified (think a? dynamic IIS Re-write / Mod Rewrite).? Each redirect is logged for our own reporting purposes. LINK REDIRECTOR will not only re-direct the link - but ALSO regenerate (ethically spoof) the originating sites HTTP header.? THIS IS A HARD REQUIREMENT otherwise web analytics tools that read the? webserver log? files will fail. REPORTING Simple counts will be generated for each definition based on the reporting variables identified by the user
