Hi there, I'm a freelance editor and writer with twenty years of experience. Hello and thank you for your invitation to bid on such an interesting project. First off I must make it clear that I would not be making the presentation myself. It would be up to you to find someone in the US who was experienced at such things. The reason why I have bid is because I have a back door into the film industry through a senior lawyer who is connected to Universal Studios. Now I can make no guarantees, but what this should enable me to do is two things. Firstly, I can establish what the correct protocol is for submitting any proposal for a film. I will then be able to establish exactly what will be needed for an initial approach and exactly how that initial pitch should be presented. My understanding is also that the majority of pitches made direct are not accepted and that they are usually submitted by an agent who then deals with the interested studio. I believe you also need to protect your IPR (intellectual property rights). Although I have placed a bid, it is based on the minimum budget, but personally I feel that it is slightly too high for the amount of work I would be doing, especially as it comes with no guarantees. I would look to reduce this down to $1100 on the basis I would be helping you to end up with the correct type of pitch and that you are given the best chance through the channels I have available.
