Description The work has the 2 following parts: 1- A Case Study Research, and a Design Proposal in A3 Sheet: You are required to conduct a case study research in one of the following areas: - A unique environment for construction projects With only one main feature of local environment (climate and geographic location): such as temperature (hot - artic), humidity (very dry - very high), accessibility (below sea level - high mountain level), etc. - A construction type (recreation, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and transportation) With only one main emphases: such as structural system, construction method, project management type, etc. - Sustainable methods used in the large construction projects Highlighting main emphasis: such as water recycling, and energy saving. • Conduct a research in the selected area highlighting the processes and the problems in the construction management; • Present a case study, and details of the construction management; • Select one existing problem of the construction management, explained and presented in the case study; • Make a design proposal of this problem based on the gained knowledge from the lectures, course materials and own research. - Submission: Case Study Research (max 3500 +/-10%) + a proposed solution of a design problem, one A3 sheet (pdf format) 2- BIM Research and COBie Data of the School project a) Site Safety Research including a case study, covering the following points: - Investigate and present a construction or infrastructure project site. - Identify project management procedures in the site. - Compare between the actual health and safety measures in the project and the management methods of HSE. - Evaluate health and safety measures in the project's site. - Analyze and evaluate risks using one of the taught methods. - Identify any sustainable measures in the project construction. b) Risk work by one of the two methods explained in the lecture notes (quantitative or qualitative). - Submission: Research max. 3000 words.
