Job Title: Veeam Expert Engineer Job Description: Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veeam Expert Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role requires technical expertise in Veeam technologies along with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Design and Implementation: Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Veeam Backup and Replication solutions tailored to meet organizational backup and recovery requirements. Ensure optimal performance and scalability of Veeam infrastructure. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting expertise for Veeam-related issues, including backup failures, replication errors, and performance bottlenecks. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve complex problems promptly. Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor Veeam infrastructure health and performance metrics continuously. Proactively identify areas for optimization and implement improvements to enhance backup efficiency, recovery times, and data integrity. Disaster Recovery Planning: Contribute to the development and testing of disaster recovery plans leveraging Veeam technologies. Ensure the adequacy of backup and replication strategies to minimize data loss and downtime in the event of system failures or disasters. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation of Veeam configurations, procedures, and best practices. Share knowledge with team members through training sessions, technical presentations, and knowledge base articles to foster skill development and operational excellence. Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices to safeguard backup data against unauthorized access, data breaches, and ransomware attacks. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Extensive experience (X years) working with Veeam Backup and Replication solutions in enterprise environments. Proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing Veeam backup infrastructure, including repositories, proxies, and backup jobs. Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, particularly VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V. Excellent knowledge of backup and recovery concepts, including backup storage, deduplication, compression, and replication. Hands-on experience with Veeam SureBackup, SureReplica, and Veeam Cloud Connect is preferred. Solid understanding of networking principles, storage systems, and server hardware. Certifications such as Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) are a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.
