Treeview Demo

The goal of this application is to deliver a Visual [login to view URL] Windows forms application that uses a standard Treeview control and a class wrapper that supports the following features: **Treeview Wrapper Features** * new nodes are assigned a GUID * keeps track of each node ID * The node's text will be prompted for by a separate input form * A node may be added, removed, moved up, moved down, indented, outdented, renamed * Nodes may be dragged and dropped within the treeview while supporting copy and move operations * If a node is copied and it contains child nodes, the user should be given the option to copy node plus children or node only * If a node is moved and it contains child nodes, the user should be given the option to remove the children or cancel the operation * When creating a node, the user should be allowed to choose the icon from a selection list and assign it to the new node * A separate editor form should be created that supports adding and modifying a node * The treeview and icon index should be able to be saved and restored to/from XML file and/or string * The treeview and icon index should be able to be saved and restored to/from a SQL Server database **Sample Image Attached** ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). **Additional Deliverables** Class for managing treeview operations Fully commented source code (XML comments) Winforms application (Main Form, Editor Form and any other supporting forms) Sample MSDE or SQL Database that contains a Treeview table that includes, at a minimum, NodeID, ParentID, NodeName, FullPath, IconIndex XML Document Layout **Treeview wrapper class supporting these operations, at a minimum** * Add node item * Update node item * Remove node item * Move node item * Copy node item * Find node by ID * NodeExistsByID? * Serialize to XML file and string * Deserialize from XML file and string * Serialze to DB (SQL Server) * Deserialize from DB (SQL Server) * Indent and Outdent nodes **XML Comments** You may use the freeware [VB Documenter][1] to generate the XML comments. ## Platform Windows 2000/XP/2003 (required) Windows 98/ME (optional)
