The software should be a modular structure of elements and relationships between elements. It should incorporate a dynamic graphic display of the data structure, showing the proximity of the element in focus. The software should be designed in a way that is: 1. as simple as possible 2. easily extendable with additional features 3. relying as much as possible on freely available, high quality libraries ??" i.e. integrate existing code more than write new code from scratch.
