Online Store - Checkout Integration

We have a need for someone to integrate a 'Checkout' page into an existing ASP website. The checkout page is? the single place to order a software product. No shopping cart or database work is expected. The checkout will be deferred to an existing e-commerce provider, such as Google Checkout. The? developer is expected to 'package' the selections, defer to the e-commerce provider, and then return a result for trivial post-processing. ## Deliverables We have a need for someone to integrate a 'Checkout' page into an existing website. The checkout page is? the ‘stand alone’ place to order from us. There will be approximately 5 software products for sale. No database work is required since we are using a hard-coded page at this point. We expect a user to visit the page, select their items and quantity of choice, and then click submit to visit a secure server for credit card information, processing, and approval or denial. The current site is written in ASP.Net. We chose ASP.Net due to ease of patching a Windows Server (versus Linux/PHP and delays in upstream patches being made available). The site will not store? credit card? or other financial information. We have no desire in maintaining a database of financial information and complying with merchant regulations or applicable privacy/breach laws. Our philosophy is, “If the information is not retained, it cannot be stolen, and we don’t have anything to comply with.?? For checkout, we want to use a known e-commerce provider such as Google Checkout. We are open to providers, such as Google Checkout or PayPal. We do not want an unknown intermediate providing checkout services. By using a large and well known firm (such as Google), we are fairly certain the e-commerce provider will meet and maintain applicable compliance regulations (such as PCI DSS), and take a proactive approach to self-auditing. Our software products also have a free license available to those who qualify. Even a free license ??" a $0.00 sale ??" should pass through the provider. This is required for record keeping and tax purposes. We expect that developer to process a $0.00 sale accordingly so that a transaction fee is avoided. We expect the provider (such as Google) to offer a page which provides information such as the purchaser’s name, what was purchased, amount of the purchase, and a transaction number. After an order is approved by the provider, we have to perform some trivial post-processing. The post-processing is similar to 'generate a key', and 'email the key and download link'. We - and not the developer - are responsible for the post processing. We only need to know that it must be performed. We expect that the integration should take one to two days for someone experienced with e-commerce and a provider. We will pay the agreed upon amount immediately after the work is complete.
