I am a Photographer and i am currently in the process of creating a new book that i want to publish on KDP amazon indemand printing. I am looking for somebody that has experience, you most show me the books you published and show that you have experience building your own books. So my questions is: 1.-I am looking for the best print size for my photo book, which size you recommend me. 2.-which type of paper i need the highest quality color glossy paper for my photos 3.-my photos are mostly portraits so my layout will most likely need to be portrait mode for my book 4.-after you help with this, i need you to create a template guidelines on photoshop where i can then start adding my designs to it. you need to have 1.-skills in photoshop to provide template 2.-skills and understanding with layout such as bleed and margins

Hi there! The answers to your questions are easy. Since you're going to be using KDP, you don't have that many options, that is if you don't want to rack up the cost and step outside their standards. The only standard portrait size that they offer is 8.25 x 6 but you won't be eligible for "Expanded Distribution". I suggest you go with a square page size of 8.5 x 8.5. That's one of their standard sizes and is eligible for "Expanded Distribution" as well. Paper, you can only have white smooth paper, you have no option for glossy. You can have a glossy cover but that's it. The book/layout has to be designed in Adobe InDesign, you can't create a book in Photoshop (well you can but it will take 20 times longer to create and won't look as good). Photoshop as you know is an image editor, not a publishing software. Feel free to ask me anything, I'm online most of the times :). Regards, Nima from MarzArts
