82613 modify a perl script email pro

You must have experience in making email programs? I have one that needs to have changes and upgrades made to it. It is written in Perl and runs out of a cgi-bin. It is a high-volume email delivery system. My objectives: 1.) Make my script use less CPU resources while sending mail 2.) A list handling feature. A way to capture undeliverables and remove requests. The recipient sends thier remove request to a specified address that can be programmed into the mailign script interface by the user so that when the mail is sent, the "recipient" can unsubscribe easily. That email address is then removed from the list just sent. I also want a way to capture undeliverables to a list on the server so that I can then manually purge these addresses from the main list OR they can be purged from the list automatically. 3.) The program must be able to mail in these four ways: a.) Local sendmail (if installed on server) b.) Local Qmail (if installed on server) c.) Relay through an outside mail server PLUS it must retain all the functions that it now has EXCEPT the following: REMOVE the subject randomization REMOVE the advanced header REMOVE the sleep option (These are features that make people think it is a spam script and it is not used for that.) Also currently it is necessary to upload 2 files from the users PC that are .scr files. These two files, when uploaded, handshake with the [login to view URL] in the cgi-bin and then create two new files called [login to view URL] and submit2.cgi. I have no idea why the program was built in this way but I have been told it causes a security threat somehow to the server and also makes the program look like spamware and it is not. 4.) I also need it to have a detection to know if the email recipient can recieve HTML or plain text. It defaults to send HTML but if the recipient cannot read html then it loads the text only version. Attached, is a newsletter we just sent out, you will see that the text file, when pasted into the program to be mailed to our subscribers, has 2 sections, the top is displayed in the email programs that cannot read HTML, the section below displays the HTML version. I want to make sure my program works in this way I have no way of testing it to see if it delivers the plain text properly.
