Create a simple secure online database accessible to our smartphone app

We have developed 2 APP’s that are intended for use by some of our customers. Right now the app is a very simple interface program to some smart home devices. This project DOES NOT require any smartphone application development or programming. This project ONLY revolves around creation of the database that is easily accessible FROM a smartphone app that we have already developed. ***We expect no more than $400 for the completed project but this will open up additional modification opportunities*** Existing Method: The way it currently works is a customer has one of a handful of smart home devices and currently the small list of devices along with their configuration data is simply embedded in our smartphone app. You type in the code and the app then the app simply pairs with the smart home device and allows you to use and configure it. NEW "Database" Method: The new method simply inserts a simple database check when a customer tries to add a new smart home product to our app on their smart phone. The smartphone APP has a box that allows the customer to type in a code for the smart home product they want to pair with their phone (the database developer does not have to worry or understand any of the “mechanics” of how the pairings or operation works, they merely create the database). The customer then types in a simple code and the APP will access an external database locating the database record using the code. The APP will then use the data in the record to determine various information about the device including if it is still supported etc. The work product will include: 1. Simple Advice: Because this database will have very low data use and transfer we have been recommended to use the “free” version of Amazon SE, EC2, DynamoDB or Amazon APPSync. We would need the database developers suggestion on which database would be the best for very safe and simple query access from a smartphone app. You provide the suggestion we will create the account and give you access. 2. Creation of a simple secure flat database with approximately 22 fields. 3. Creation of a simple form allowing us to edit the records. 4. Access Credentials that we would provide our software developers who will develop the queries from the APP.
