274370 Javascript/Ajax Grid

I AM LOOKING FOR A FREELANCER; NOT A GROUP OF DEVELOPERS OR A COMPANY, LLC, ETC. PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS PROJECT IF YOU ARE REPRESENTING ONE OF THESE. IF YOU ARE NOT PERSONALLY GOING TO WORK ON THIS PROJECT, PLEASE DO NOT BID. THIS PROJECT REQUIRES A BID FOR HOURLY RATE. I need help developing a grid based dispatch scheduling system. Please see attached image for a visual. Items appear on the board representing persons who need to be picked up and dropped off at different locations (i call these trips). By default, my PHP/current js will inject all the trips into the correct grid location. A dispatcher/admin will come along and drag/drop these trips around as needed. Currently, the trips can be dragged/dropped into different cells. I need someone with more experience in javascript to write the event actions that will update the records in the db. For example, on the drop event, an ajax call should be fired off to update the db with the trips new date/time. You would need to write the javascript necassary to do this. I will take care of the PHP side of everything. There are many different event types. But the following is a general overview: If one trip already exists in a cell, the two trips should be merged visually. A number will appear in the cell representing how many trips are in that cell. Hovering over a trip should bring up a div with more information on that trip. This will be basic stuff such as where the trip orginates and ends, etc. This info will most likely be provided before hand (ie. no ajax call to look it up). Right click on a trip to change its status. Drag a trip off the board into a 'trash can' to mark it as unscheduled. There are a number of other things as well but this will give you the basic idea of what kind of javascript programming i am looking for. So far, i am using the YUI library from Yahoo. I am not opposed to using other libraries if you can work with them easier. I am not going to say these are easy tasks, but they should not be intemidating either. I need someone with experience in javascript; not just a web developer. Because i am not putting forth all the requirements now, please give your rate by hour. I am estimating that i will need at least 20 hours of your time and if you are good, it will be much more.
