We are in publishing business, we give price quotation based on these elements: 1. Copyright: To find the copyright amount, we look into list prices of each publising house. List price depends on number of copies and number of pages. There are some rules and conditons each publishing house mandate, such as copyright fee being 30% of the price. Or if you have under x number of copies the percentage change and so on. 2. Production : based on a)Translation b)Editorial service c)Proofreading d)Printing 3. General Expense : We will determine this amount, usually 20% of the sales price. 4. Profit : Derived from List Price - Copyright - Production - General Expense. Process: 1. First enter the data requested for: - Customer - Project - Copyright - Editorial Service - Printing 2. Finetune the price from initial entry - Adjust unit price - Adjust general expense and profit - After adjusting, make sure you do not make overpayment to copyright 3. Creating of proposal sheet (usually automatically 4. If customer accepts the proposal, we go back to verify and adjust 3rd party service cost. 5. Archiving, report generation,from the proposals by 3rd party, publising house, etc. We want to integrate this as a module into SugarCrm. So Sugarcrm platform experience is also needed.
