My main project which is nearing completion is an esp32 based robotic kitchen range hood. At my most recent full time position I was an animatronics engineer at a scene shop with clients like nerf, and disney. Good day, I have worked with the ESP32 module before on the NodeMCU development board. I have also reprogrammed the SONOFF devices which use the ESP32 module for my own home automation projects. I would propose that we use Thingsboard for your server application. I am busy finishing off a project this week for a UK company using Thingsboard as the Admin Server for a new medical device they are manufacturing. I have built custom dashboards, widgets and automations using the built-in rule engine. So I am current with the features and functionality available on the platform now. I would be happy to deploy the platform and configure it according to your application and user requirements. I have an ESP32 module which I would use to test the connectivity and operations of the system and would utilize MQTT as my transport protocol (can be others if needed) to make the device communication as light weight and efficient as possible.
