i have one .net web system to keep track user on web page timer. this is to keep track user time on the page. once the user has login successfully then it will see the user timer start ticking. this timer is an attendance for us to know how long our user has been working in our web system. so we need to store in our sql server database. it has to be scalable means from 5,000 users to even 1 million users or even more. my question to you is, do we store the attendance in sql server database every minute or hourly? but timer need to show ticking every minute or 10minutes for example so how working time progress. if you suggest a minute then do we have performance issue if we have 1 million users updating every minute to the DB. i need a sample code for this. how much and how long?

Hello Thanks for your full description. You need someone who is familiar with resource management. You may not need to do all the job with SQL here. You have to do most of the job in RAM memory and then transfer the results into SQL. Regarding how much hardware resource you have, please send me a message so that I suggest a scenario for 1 million users. Regards
