I need someone that has experience upgrading versions of Magento. I have a magento store that is running version 1.5 that needs to be upgraded to version 1.9. You need to have experience specifically with magento upgrades not just building magento sites. So far everything we have tried has failed in upgrading the 1.5 database to a 1.9 database which doesn't work as all the data has to transfer over.

Yes it will fail because there is a slight differences, in structure, however this is not going to be upgrading as such , it is migration. You build the 1.9, export the data from 1.5 and import it to the new system 1.9. It is fiddly job and time consuming. It all depends on the size of the data. How large is your data? Looking forward to upgrade your magento installation.
