Hi guys, I’m looking for a book cover design. It’s a biography about a guy that travelled around Australia on a motorcycle in six weeks. The book will cover his bike journey, but more importantly the book will cover the guy’s earlier history from where he was dangerously alcoholic to his present day sobriety. The guy was a banking executive and lived in UK, Italy, Greece, Middle East, Asia, Pacific Islands and now Australia. So the book will cover the physical adventure around Australia as well as his life's journey. The cover should incorporate an image of a motorcycle, a map of Australia, an icon of alcoholism, and perhaps some icons of travel. He’s travelled to over 60 countries and twice flew on Concorde. I’d like the design to be symbolic in terms of his life’s journey from alcoholic to sober as well as the physical journey around Australia. I’d like a creative design of what I have described. This guy actually died several times, accident, freak viral infection. I have a few ideas but my creative designs should not be a constraint just a basic concept. Attached are a few images. The motorcycle that was used in the trip and an outback road leading to infinity somewhere on the horizon. Perhaps the motorcycle could be shown escaping from a bottle to hit the road. The road could be an Australian outback stock photo or an artistic impression or if the quality of the photo attached is okay, then use that (perhaps transpose it into a ‘painting’ rather than a photo). This is my concept but feel free to create anything that incorporates the motorcycle, Australian map and an icon of alcoholism (perhaps a glass or a bottle) and embed these images into something that also translates as a journey of discovery (from dark to light, from despair to peace, black to white). Perhaps have the map of Australia enclosed within the shape of a glass and the motorcycle and rider riding out of it - escaping on a voyage of discovery. Hopefully you see what I’m shooting for. The title of the book may change but right now it’s called 'Wild Ride' Questions are most welcome.

Hey there! Could you provide reference images for what you'd like in terms of illustration style? My process would be to do this by hand, then digitize it. First I would provide you with sketches for you to approve of, then start with the detailing and coloring. If you initiate the chat I can send you some *watermarked* sample illustrations.
