I need a GHOST WRITER for some FICTIONAL short SUSPENSE stories (around 5,000 words in length or 2 chapters) in the subject areas of:
1. Cataclysmic natural disasters (global warming, hurricanes, tornados, tsunami, earthquakes)
2. Global economic chaos (Oil, Wall Street, Nasdaq, Collapse of the Dollar, Banks)
3. Political turbulence with mass deception (Religion Issues, Assassination of a World Leader or President, World Super Powers at odds with another creating a major conflict, The United Nations vote on an issue or the UN taking control of a country, Conspiracy Theory topics deceiving the masses like; Vaccinations are actually a population control tactic by the Government, One World Order, Banking Families control of the world, Bar-codes on peoples body, etc...).
The short stories need to be current (as if they could happen today in the world somewhere) to make the reader think the story is mainstream.
The short stories need to be cataclysmic and affect the masses. For instance, use the Middle East for a story about oil or religion Use Wall Street for a story about economic collapse, etc.. Pick a topic that could influence a lot of people and is a "hot button" issue today.
$150 will be paid per story. Please send me one finished story at a time. If your writing style and first story fits my theme, I will purchase your first story and have you work on a second story. If the second story fits my theme I will purchase it as well, and so on. Eventually I could use up to 10 stories.

I've just completed my second fiction/suspense novel in the "Drifter Series". An example of both novels is included in my profile. I'm drawn more to the action/suspense genre with an angle toward spirituality, although I don't need to stick strictly with that particular angle...I like entangling people in a good, gripping story.

Hello Barry - I would enjoy writing some short, suspenseful dramas involving either natural or man-made cataclysmic disasters. I have been writing longer fiction as of late (120,000 word average), and would like to do some shorter, refreshing projects that I can finish in a few days (I average between 4,000 and 6,000 words per day if I have a complete outline available). Most of my work is in the science fiction/fantasy genre, but I can could easily transfer my skills to a contemporary dramatic setting.

I am an excellent writer. I bid mostly on academic topics because I have a Ph.D. in history, but I have written many general-audience pieces. Because of my extensive background in history, I keep up on current events and am more than capable of writing convincing stories drawn from the headlines. I also have a fondness for apocalyptic stories and movies, so I'm aware of what can be done here.
I would like some additional guidelines. Do you want stories that focus on a single character, or tales that describe the "big picture?" Also, do you want a happy ending or a grim one?

* Oil-cleaning bacteria begin to devour global oil supply.
* Solar instability destroys the global electric grid.
* Fundamentalists and secularists fight civil war in the US.
I am fascinated by this project. As a Climate Reality Project Leader, I am trained in all the real-life cataclysms that are doomed to befall us if we don't become aware, and don't alter our consumerist lifestyles. The disasters in my stories would take the form of environmental disasters: one concept I have is of rogue GMO corn infiltrating the food chain, creating mass poisonings in our food supply. By the time scientists discover what the source of the epidemic is, the corn is already so far embedded in the world's food that there is no way to stop it.
The environmental disasters have huge economic consequences as well--underlying the stories would be the collapse of capitalism, leading to battles between the corporate-industrial interests and the "99%-ers."
