HEY THERE! PLEASE GO THROUGH MY BID ONCE! The project you floated, I've already built one, but the difference being I did this using an addressable RGB led strip. Such strips are very common to be used with microcontrollers. But anyways the point here is I've already done the research about it and I understand the parameters to be considered. I can also share the video of what I did if you are interested. Key points to keep in mind(you must be knowing): The system has to work on priority basis. With Turn Indicators having highest priority and Strobe function the least(as per Indian standards). But that's up to us, we can change the priorities depending on our application. I am not sure about UK road regulations, but that's nothing to be worried about, I'll keep that programmable so we can easily tune it. I'll also ensure there is isolation between the vehicle signals and control signals. The LED strip works at 24V only(referring the link you shared) so we don't need any other supply or DC-DC converter Onboard. We can also easily have two outputs for 2 LED strips so you'll be able to connect both the strips on the same board. Being an automotive power electronics engineer, I understand the need of safety and automotive qualification. I'll ensure(if required!)whatever we do is compliant with the standards.
