Design a Power Board capable of powering a [login to view URL] with a [login to view URL] attached for 10 years using 4 AA or C Cell alkaline batterys The ESP32 will only be active once or twice each month for 10 mins at time so the overall 'ontime' over 10 years is 2400 Minutes or 240 'runs'. The board will be designed on PCBWAY or something similar and the actual board with all components on it will be shipped to me. The board cost is not part of the project, however, you have to setup PCBWay with the design and all the components. To solve the issue of the ESP32 going into runaway mode (where it doesn't ever stop), the device will need to kill the power to the ESP32 after it's been running for more than 20 mins and include a done pin so the ESP32 can tell the device it's done it's job and to drop the power and reset the timer. To make the board usable for other projects, it should have 2 bitswitchs on it that control the first timer in lots of hours and the second timer in lots of minutes like [login to view URL] The board will be connected to the 4 Alkaline Batterys, and then every 'N' Hours (where N could be 10,000), convert the power to 3.3V, start the powercheck timer and complete the circuit to the ESP32. If the ESP32 sets the done pin, the device drops power, and resets the first timer. If the 'powercheck' timer goes off, the device drops power and resets the first timer. It is important to note that when the first timer is running, the power draw needs to be less than 50na so that the device can last for over 100 years in the field if the timer only goes off once per year.

Hello, my name is Metin and I am a freelancer with 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, electronics, microcontroller, PCB layout, product design and renewable energy. I have worked on projects related to digital motor control, analog design, electronic design and powerelectronics. I understand you are looking for someone to design an ultra low power timer capable of powering a A-T PCIe with an attached for 10 years using 4 AA or C Cell alkaline batteries. The bigger question is what EXACTLY does the system need to do during the 2400 min, 40 hours of run time, and what will the total power draw be during each ON period? ... everything including up front mosfet switch, regulator, sensors, and the esp32 system. Will there be enough battery left after those activies to even wake up again half way thru the mission life? It's nearly impossible to design the system without that clearly defined. Need the full system design specification. Complete hardware list required. Complete software function required so that the total power for ON time can be verified. I'm guessing there is a better solution than using an ESP32 and 4AA's. There are probably better design choices to be made if this is a mission critical safety application where having someone change the batteries every year isn't possible.
