Job Title: Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - Alternative Bank (Consultant & Full-Time) UK Based. Company Overview: CRB Money, an innovative and forward-thinking alternative bank, is set to launch in April 2024, redefining the banking landscape with a focus on providing sustainable and customer-centric financial solutions. We are we are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to play a pivotal role in shaping our technology strategy and driving the digital transformation of our alternative banking platform. We want the CTO to join us as a consultant in the early stages and subsequently transition into a full-time leadership role. Location: Hybrid / London (prior to launch) Preferred Language Skills: Proficiency in Portuguese is highly preferred. Role Overview: The CTO will join our team initially as a consultant during the early stages of development, providing strategic guidance and laying the foundation for our technological infrastructure. Subsequently, the CTO will transition into a full-time role, leading a team of skilled professionals to ensure the seamless integration of technology into every facet of our banking operations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Technology Leadership: • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the overall business goals and objectives. • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify opportunities for technological innovation and efficiency. 2. Digital Transformation: • Lead the digital transformation initiatives to enhance customer experience, streamline processes, and optimize operational efficiency. • Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential to provide strategic business advantages. 3. Infrastructure Development: • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of robust and scalable IT infrastructure. • Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of the technology stack. 4. Team Leadership and Development: • Build and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members. 5. Vendor Management: • Collaborate with external vendors, partners, and third-party service providers to integrate their solutions into our platform seamlessly. • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and optimal service delivery. 6. Regulatory Compliance: • Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure that the technology infrastructure and systems comply with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. 7. Risk Management: • Implement and monitor effective risk management strategies to safeguard the integrity and security of the banking platform. 8. Collaboration and Communication: • Foster effective communication and collaboration between the technology team and other departments within the organization. • Present technology-related updates and strategies to the executive team and stakeholders. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar leadership role within the banking or financial technology sector. • Strong understanding of banking operations, financial systems, and regulatory compliance. • Expertise in technology strategy development, digital transformation, and infrastructure management. • Demonstrated success in leading and managing high-performance technology teams. • Excellent communication skills in both English and Portuguese. Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Salary / Payment for services Prior to the official launch of our company, please note that the salary for the position mentioned is subject to negotiation. While we are eager to attract the best talent, we recognize that individual circumstances and expertise vary. In the interim period leading up to our launch, we will provide a fixed payment for adhoc services rendered. This temporary arrangement is intended to compensate for specific tasks or contributions made during this pre-launch phase.
