To Whom It May Concern,
I'm a qualified language practioner that has experience in editing, translation and proofreading of Afrikaans and English texts, documents for the WCED, manuscripts, theses for students and lecturers from various universities. I have also edited, proofread and translated dramas and poems for creative writers. I am a fast learner and I know I will make a success of this project.
A recent project was the translation of the poem, Ek ken `n plek, featuring in Die Fonteyn, Boezak et al. for publication: After Mandela by Prof Douglas Foster, Evanston Illinois (US).
I was privileged to work with RetailTribe for 4 months this year. The main focus was processing and editing newsletters for US, UK, NZ and AUS, golf professionals and updating websites, results and events page. We also made use of FileZilla to upload pdf files to the necessary custom build pages.
I see myself as a young and talented woman willing to grab any opportunity when it comes. I'm a hard-working and diligent worker who takes pride in what I do. I know that my skills and attributes of these past few years and months will contribute worthily to your company.
Motivated by experience in life, I have learned that I'm the master of my own work and would work under any circumstances. My motto is perseverance, hard work, and the ability to work with different people. Being able to never give up has helped me to endure a lot of pressure and deadlines.
I have completed my BA Language and Culture, Postgraduate Diploma in Translation and Interpreting and B.Phil. in Translation.
I welcome any opportunity on how I could make a meaningful contribution to the future of your project. I trust to hear from you as soon as possible.
Yours Sincerely,
Signed: Anabelle Oosthuizen
