Colour picker control

I need a colour picker control. The implementation should primarily be made so that it can run within an AlertDialog, but optionally also programmaticaly inserted into an activity. Basically, what I want is a function that accepts an orientation parameter (horizontal / vertical), current colour, background colour (explained later) and returns a ready-to-run GroupView that I can insert anywhere I wish. I have attached two (very crude) images for approximate design of the control based on orientation. Basically, I want an Office 2007 style colour picker. - The hue / saturation (main) picker: Hexagon grid, Saturation 100% on the edges, 0% in the centre, use 6 rings, each with 20% more saturation (make this a variable so that number of rings can be easily changed later), Hue depends on the angle where a particular hexagon is placed (see image), colours remain constant, only the currently selected hexagon is displayed with a border - The brightness picker changes hue/saturation based on currently selected main picker tile. also displays currently selected tile bordered - The transparency picker is rendered with a checkered pattern (a few dp small rectangles). also displays currently selected tile bordered - Brightness and transparency pickers in horizontal layout progress vertically, not as they are drawn in the sample images. there I just rotated the original images, but I want brightness / transparency to increase as the picker is rendered from top to bottom. - Use of background colour parameter: brightness picker, transparency picker, current and new colour rectangles should all be bordered with a 10dp region of background colour (not the entire parent width / height, just 10 dp) - Returned view must fit on a phone screen with a 10dp margin to all sides, but must not exceed 5"x2.8" (2.8 x 5 for portrait) on tablets. - User can interact with all three pickers - select one of the tiles - When dialog is constructed, the current colour parameter should be used to pre-select appropriate tiles (use approximation since tiles can't cover the entire spectrum) - Should work on android 2.1 and up. Code should be reasonably structured and documented (don't write one 1000 line function) - The solution should be limited to text only resources (no bitmaps).
