Academic Writing - MATLAB

This is a simple university project for a module regarding the use of MATLAB This project is already half done and just needs to be corrected and finished. The project requires the person to demonstrate what he learned about MATLAB during the university years in mechanical engineering studies. For every questions you must write HALF A PAGE of content demonstrating knowledge about MATLAB code writing and running. No need for providing any matlab files. The paper needs to be approximately 10 pages long at the end but its already half done so u don't have to write that much 4. Demonstrate an ability to use advanced software tools (e.g. MATLAB) to: a. Evaluate mathematical expressions. b. Analyse engineering data, extract best fit curves, derive statistical measures and characterise the reliability of the model. 5. Demonstrate familiarity with: a. A range of logical expressions and flow-control methods in software coding. b. Software “debugging” methods, including interpretation of error messages, inserting test instructions and breakpoints in code and line by line checking of expressions. 6. Demonstrate an ability to: a. Analyse existing code so as to define what it is doing. b. Design, develop, debug, test and evaluate: i. A simple programme (e.g. in MATLAB). ii. Functions and to use function calls within a structured programme. c. Read from and write to files in a range of standard and custom formats. d. Use a wide range of: i. Built in and toolbox functions within MATLAB. ii. Plotting and graphics tools within MATLAB. 7. Demonstrate an understanding of a range of approaches to software modelling, simulation and optimisation in engineering design. 8. Demonstrate a basic working knowledge of a model-based design tool such as MATLAB Simulink.
