Web Design for Social Networking Site

Hello, I am part of a team of young, but very talented individuals who are excited in changing the way people use the internet. This is our first project, and we want to create a website that promotes open, social interaction with all its users. To help us make this vision a reality, we are looking for a web designer who shares our vision. Regardless of your experience as a web designer, we are looking for someone with a fresh perspective to create a simple two page layout. The first page would be a homepage that at least includes a sign-in area for current members, sign-up area for new members, log-in area for guests, and space for advertisements. The second page would be a profile-like page, which will serve as the hub to all our unique, interactive features. I won't be too specific about what it should include as this will first be an alpha version, but we would like it to be designed in a way that is flexible and provides room for growth. This is strictly a web design project, and would like it to be compatible with IE6, IE7, Firefox and Safari. We do not need any programming or coding. We also are not interested in flash. Designs that are based on an off-the-shelf template are highly unlikely to be of the quality and originality that we are looking for. ## Deliverables We will provide the name of the site and explain what it means at your request. At this point we do not have a logo, and are not interested in one. The general requirements we would like to see in the design is Web 2.0 (ex: menus, headers, footers in CSS), Light and Clean look, inviting, shared style and color theme for both pages. Below I have provided some examples, which only serve to show what design elements we like: We would like the homepage to be designed such that a visitor can view all the content without scrolling. A few examples of web design that we liked are, <[login to view URL]> and <[login to view URL]>. They both have great color themes, center graphics, and are overall inviting and fresh. In regard to the sub-page or profile-like page: [[login to view URL]<wbr />anatomy-of-a-flash-game-<wbr />lesson-1][1] is an example of a site that we liked, especially the layout at the top of the page - the use of color, graphics, design flow and incorporation of the site's name.
