What is Mercado?: Mercado is a unified International Supply Chain Platform designed by importers for importers. Digitize and connect the First Mile to the Last Mile and create efficiencies throughout the supply chain, from order placed to order received. Mercado improves the collaboration, innovation, transparency, predictability and automation across a company’s end-to-end supply chain, helping to improve sales, decrease costs, and enhance social compliance. Description: Researching proper companies and contacts that fit within Mercado’s guidelines so our Sales Team is set up for success when pursuing potential customers. There are two parts to this research project, including: 1. Researching for future companies & contacts: We want to add good companies and contacts into our Database, and we need someone to research potential options and opportunities. The companies and contacts will need to fit within our guidelines and expectations at Mercado in order to give the Sales team the best shot at selling the platform to entities that need our system. When researching both companies and contacts, there are specific criteria that companies must meet in order for our Sales team to be incentivized enough to go after them. All of those specifications and details will be provided. We will require you to find and research 5-10 companies at the start for me to review to ensure the requirements and instructions are being met. Once approved and determined that the instructions and expectations are being met, you will be able to continue researching. 2. Cleaning up & researching from our current database: Around December 2019, our previous Sales Team researched and utilized freelancers to find contacts that fit within certain criteria. A lot of the research and data pulled either does not match what we look for now or was bad data. Because of this, the Mercado Hubspot database is filled with a variety of inaccurate and old information. We need to scrub the database of this outdated information. To do so, I’ll provide you with a list of contacts who need to be researched further, and you’ll use the same steps as to how you’ll research for the first part of the project. All of those specifications and details will be provided.
