We have an existing web application that is built on Java. It's complex and cumbersome. We need a programmer to assist us enhance some issues we have, as well as build some extra components to handle an API integration we are doing with existing software. Our web app handles everything from job application / screening through to job management and CRM. You need to have 5 years with Java, plus strong mySQL (application has about 30 tables and many stored procedures). You need to be able to do minor styling/interface work (to add fields, tables etc) The app uses bootstrap. I'm thinking it will be about 4 hours per day, between 11am - 3pm, or something like that. Needs to be Sydney time zone, and I'm sorry but the hours are set. Have had too many issues with developers in the past not being available when we need it, and it's too big a compromise for us. You will work directly with me, who is one of the owners of the business, as well as our General Manager and our staff located in Sydney, Adelaide and overseas. This is casual work, based on business requirements. If you impress our socks off then we have oodles of development work, including version two of this application and it's related mobile app. We have so many ideas, but need to find the right person who can turn these ideas into a workable development solution. I have about 4 years experience managing the web application as a quasi Project Manager. My technical knowledge is light on, but i'm used to managing outcomes with developers.

I have a similar project in Java, but your project should be either on Apache Tomcat or on some other application server and use either AJAX or JSP technology, but in principle I use both technologies in my WEB development. Read my profile and contact for details in the chat. At you basically a very simple task, mySQL I know very well, and 30 tables is a fairly simple project. And the problems with the developer are not due to the time zone of Sydney. And because the customer himself does not look at the project's executor, his basic skills result in hiring PHP or Python developer with high rating, finalizing the project on java. Naturally, PHP developer has no idea about any Apache Tomcat and simply can not solve its task. As a result, he starts to come up with reasons or generally ceases to go out with the customer for communication. So, first of all, look at the skills of the project's executor, not on his ratings, which do not reflect anything at all. You have more than half of the applicants with high ratings and brilliant reviews, do not have the skills to develop three-level applications and have no idea about the application server in Java. And if you are too lazy to think about how the winner will execute your project, then again step on the same rake with the time zone of Sydney. Out of 24 hours I sleep only 8, that is, I get on any work time in any part of the world.
