This application must be written in Delphi 7, the database part must be written for FireBird (or Interbase), we are using dbexpress components for data access. The user interface must be intuitive and easy to use. I will be clear on how to do this. When complete the job must be comprehensive not a quick slop job. The deadline is our estimate of the amount of man hours we estimate this job will take, 3 weeks, or one person working 120 hours at 40 a week.
Create an application for users to create custom data entry forms. There will be two user interfaces. One will be the form designer where users can add fields and select their positions on the form. The second will be the entry interface, where the form will be displayed and used to enter data into the database.
Form Designer:
Users can add/modify forms, these forms will be stored in the DB in a table called Forms.
- Within a form a user can add fields. The fields will be in table called FormFieldDefs which will link to the Forms table. The user should be able to choose data properties of these fields such as Data Type, Length, Edit Mask, Default. Fields should not be able to be deleted.
- The user will then then use the visual form entry designer to design the data entry form. This designer will create a file which will be stored in the Forms table. This file will contain the location of the fields, labels, and it must also allow for tab sheets in case the number of fields is large. The fields should have a few properties which define how they display such as XY location, font \ color.
- The user should also be able to design the printable form using the visual form print designer. Similiar to the previous designer the user will just design how the form will print, the user should be able to place graphics on the form such as their company logo etc. **…See attached document (RAC limits description to 2000 characters)
