DESCRIPTION: MYSQL process is consuming whole server CPU, showing - log error open-files-limit=10000 issue recursively running in the loop STORY: Back-end: MySQL database Front-end: PHP Server specs: Godaddy dedicated server 4 CPU Cores @ 3.1 GHz 16 GB memory 2 TB storage CentOS 6 + cPanel We are a team of developers and we are using MYSQL DB for our web and mobile application. we have one table which has 1.1 GB data and since the table has reached above 1 GB we are facing this issue: - One of the MYSQL processes is consuming the whole CPU and keeps trying to write in MySQL log error file which shows limit= 10000 and this process is hitting recursively in every millisecond. We tried killing it but it restarts again automatically. [please see the first record of screenshot/image] We are seeking a MYSQL DB expert who shows us: 1. How to stop above mentioned process. 2. What we are doing wrong and how to correct it. 3. How to manage big DB tables above than 1 GB in the future for seamless operations.

first we need to investigate the logs and tune it based on the server resourses. 1G table is not a problem at all. something is misconfigured I guess.
