Need proper redirect code for htaccess file

I need to update my htaccess file so that

* Any page not found on my site Redirects to a specificc URL (different site)

EXCEPT For any request coming from a specific IP.

In that case it should just ignore all this code in the htaccess file.

Also Any image file (jpg,gif,bmp,mp3,png,pdf,zip) that is being hotlinked from other domains shuld show a different image (which I specify URL).

That's it - just give me working code for htaccess. also make a search engine safe as possible. Someone once told me to use 301 redirect instead of 404 because of this. I dont want to get my site penalized.
