Navodila natečaja

I am from China and I need a good brand name for my wedding dress business. My market mainly in the USA. My products are : wedding dresses, evening dresses, prom dresses, and wedding accesorries.

Requirements are as follows:

1. I HAVE TO register this brand name in the USA.
2. IT IS BETTER can be register as a domain name.

3. If you search “top bridal brands” you will find these common type:
(1) brand name just by designer’s name or founders name:
VERA WANG, MOREE LEE, Jenny Lee
(2) name + bridal
DAVID’S BRIDAL JASMINE BRIDAL (I see a brand: JASMINE BRIDAL, is this correct to whithout s? so DAVID BRIDAL is also OK? )
(3) adj + bridals/bride
Allure bridals, thebeautybridals…
(4) some French name or Spanish name
PRONOVIAS
(5)some single word as a brand name
AOLISHA (the no.1 wedding dress brand in china)

Here is what I brainstormed:
1. Chinese names:
What is the most romantic and catchy Chinese word in USA? Is it a good idea to use a Chinese word plus BRIDAL?
Eg: MEILI BRIDAL, MEILI BRIDE
MEILI, WANMEI, WEIWEI, JIAREN Which one sounds better?
2. Like many big brand name, H&M, P&G
Can I use NAME&NAME, eg: ANNA&ALIA, LILY&LAYLA, Jiaren&LJ
3. Girl name + BRIDAL
VIVIANS BRIDAL

Speaking of Chinese brand name it is ok for me, but for English brand name, it is really hard, because I am a Chinese.:). Thanks for your help and after the name thing I need a logo as well.

Dude, if you want to market in the U.S., get a native speaker to help you choose a name. While "beaut" is derived from "beautiful," it's not a substitute. It's slang that men use when jokingly referring to an inanimate object as being female, and quite inappropriate used with "bride." This makes you sound clueless to American women.

I think you need to avoid anything too Chinese sounding as you are aiming at the international market because people get scared by anything too 'foreign' sounding. French names are too corny and end up looking tacky (unless you are actually French). Anything too long will be hard for people to remember. You need a simple clean original name to stand apart from the crowd :)

I think you're right. There's been a lot of negative press about Chinese dress companies lately which I think is unfair. I had my wedding dress made in China and it was perfect.

You need to keep the name as short as possible so that it is easy to remember. Also it should be simple so that it gets more hits in google.. Thank You

I think its fantastic if you name your wedding dress business on your name. Jiancheng is unique kind of name.As if you want to go into this business, you have to be unique about your design and creativity. OR i can suggest you to drop the NG part of your name... as i can give a rhyme kind of touch which is easy for people to make a resemblance in their mind. "Jianche's Bridal". Sounds catchy and french kind though. I hope this helps.
