Laravel 6 issue in customer-portal no input check on date-field

Customer portal allows to search in database.

there is a field for timerange from-to.

If no date is selected, portal generates 500 error and displays empty white page.

If no date is selected, search should use current day.

Even though error message shows from&to date. It is not honored as it seems.
