Hi Freelancers. I need to conduct an audit review on the Property Plant and Equipment function as a college project and need your help in doing that. it is not a big assignment .I need things like the below to be done:
- reconciliation of the fixed asset register and the trial balance and note differences between the cost, depreciation etc
- check for the accuracy of the depreciation noted in line with the depreciation guidelines
- check for double posting of fixed assets in the Fixed asset register
- ensure additions/removals of fixed assets is counted in the trial balance
- ensure that removals are accounted for accurately
- Adjustments and period-end close are accurate and recorded in the proper period.
I want you also to tell me how did you go about conducting these tests because I will surely be asked about it and let me know want other things you would like to add to the above to obtain full assurance over the property plant and equipment function
