Over 30 years of experience in IT management, network design, management and troubleshooting, and programming in FORTRAN, Visual Basic and MUMPS.
Developed first Radiology package for Veterans Administration Medical Centers (in ANSI standard MUMPS.) Served as Chief of IT Department at two VA medical Centers.
Managed transition of NIOSH Cincinnati operations (about 1,000 users in five buildings) from WANG word processing to networked Micorsoft Word and Courier E-Mail. (Courier E-Mail was later purchased by microsoft, and became the first version of Microsoft E-Mail.)
Developed SQL database and Access front end used by up to ten teams (each consisting of up to 20 people) to schedule, carryout, and create the accounts for 30,000 desktop transitions of Xerox employees from proprietary word processing and E-Mail to Netware and Microsoft E-Mail.
Wrote software to convert 1,000,000 records per day accumulated from over 400 Xerox Novell servers into SQL databases, then loaded data into SQL Server Analysis System OLAP cubes; wrote software to develop reports from OLAP cubes.
Modified, upgraded, and resolved issues in LoanStation loan origination software for credit unions (Visual Basic 6.) Also wrote three interfaces to credit union host systems to pull member data for starting loan applications, and for posting application data when application is approved.
