Java / JSP:
I am a very fluent with Java and its many uses. I have used Java Servlet and JSP technology in web environments in conjunction with Oracle 8i. I designed a custom MVC (Model View Controller) system for Chemtracker technologies using Servlets and Oracle as the back end and JSP/HTML for the front end, or "presentation layer". I have experience in socket programming with Java as well as thread management (multi threaded applications). I have written server/client applications as well as graphical games for web browsers (Applets). I am also experienced with the JAXP XML parsing APIs for Java. I have written applications that create PDF reports from databases. I have created Tag libraries for JSP and have used existing tag libraries. I have experience writing applications that use SUN's JSSE (SSL) libraries for encrypting data transfer and utilizing X.509 certificates. I have also written Java programs for Palm Pilots and other embedded devices. I have experience developing code, as well as deploying code in UNIX/Linux based environments. I have experience with writing ANT build scripts for java projects, as well as Makefiles.

C/C++:
I created a 3D engine for games using C/C++ in conjunction with OpenGL. I've also used C/C++ to create a PKZIP like command line program for storing multiple files in a single file. I wrote a C++ wrapper for John Clarks "Expat" XML parser.
CGI/Perl:
I have used Perl for many different tasks ranging from web applications to small scripts for parsing data files. I have experience installing Perl and modules on both Unix and Windows operating systems. I also have experience writing socket programs (server/client) with Perl.
PHP:

I am an excellent JavaScript programmer. I have used JavaScript to enhance web sites and to create DHTML pages. I have experience in dynamic Object creation and designing Objects for other developers to use. I have also used JavaScript in ASP. I have experience in making scripts that are cross platform and cross browser compatible. I have experience with Remote Scripting with ASP and JavaScript.

VBScript:
I have experience with VBScript in web-based environments like ASP and Internet Explorer and in many other areas like WSH (Windows Scripting Host). I have created and used COM and ActiveX objects with VBScript and have written scripts for various tasks on Windows based operating systems.
Bash/Shell Scripting:
I have experience in shell scripting for both Unix and Windows based operating systems (cygwin/batch). I have written scripts for performing various tasks like downloading weather report data for use in a web application. I also have experience in creating CRONTAB jobs to run scripts at various intervals.
Visual Basic:
I have written many applications with Visual Basic including applications that utilize windows API calls and calls to other DLLs. I have written data driven VB Applications as well as data capturing applications. I have experience in user interface design and creating "skin-able" applications. I also have experience in developing ActiveX controls and COM objects with Visual Basic. I have created server/client applications utilizing Winsock with Visual Basic.
SQL and PL/SQL:
I am experienced in using SQL on a wide variety of database engines, including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and Microsoft Access. I have written stored procedures for Oracle and SQL Server. I have experience in designing relational databases as well as tuning databases for performance. I also have experience in designing and using databases for web applications and user authentication.
HTML/DHTML:
I am an expert HTML/DHTML designer. I have designed many web pages and have experience designing pages for dynamic content. I have worked in conjunction with designers who do not know HTML to turn JPEG and GIF mock-ups into HTML. I have used HTML in conjunction with JSP, Servlets, JSP, PHP, and Perl. I have experience in designing pages that must be platform independent (different browsers and operating systems). I have used JavaScript and HTML to create interactive web sites and provide a pleasant experience for the user.

I am experienced with Microsoft's C# (pronounced C-Sharp), and the .NET development environment. I have experience using XML and OpenGL with C#. I have also created 3D rendering APIs for other developers using C#.
