FIND SHARP EDGES FROM 3D MESH WPF VB

We are looking for someone to code a custom module or sub that can return a list of sharp edges from a MeshGeometry3D.
A wireframe is not suitable as it returns edges that share the same normals so each flat surface shows as two triangles.
The code must be in vb .NET
The angle must be customisable, e.g. 10 degrees would return any edges from adjacent triangles with normals that are more than 10 degrees different.
Some meshes have 5000+ edges this module must be able to process extremely fast to be worthwhile, other methods we have tried have proved to be too slow.
We need this ASAP.
