I have completed writing a high concept coming of age screenplay. The screenplay has good structure and character development. But, has weak dialog. It has received great feedback from department head of the UCLA's screenwriters master program. And, the script has been query and requested by over a 100 producers.
Thank you for all who have responded to my offer. I will be choosing a candidate in 4-8 days. To get to know your skills better, I would like for you to send a sample re-write of pages 2 and 3 of the attached sample. This is not required for the position, but it would give me a better idea of your skills. Also, if your offer includes proofreading of the overall script let me know that too.
Very brief background and character description:
Mutiny In The Dugout
Cain is doomed to wander the earth, in the Land of Nod, somewhere East of Eden, protected by the Mark of Cain, which is thought to be a canine. The word Nod actually means “wandering” in Hebrew, so it’s a term more descriptive of Cain’s life than his actual wandering. This is a story about Cain coming home to become the prodigal son and their fight on the field of baseball for their father’s love.
(Cain) - After breaking Abe's collar bone and ruining his future baseball career, seeks comfort with Teri, ends up running off to Alaska (East of Eden). Plays semi-professional ball. But lives the life of a wanderer.
Abe (Abel) - while growing up, competes with Charlie for Gordon's love. After the injury he is forced to make peace with himself. Becomes a minister. Counsels troubled kids. Believes organized sports go way too far.
Gordon (god like figure) - Good old boy, He is either drinking or coaching baseball.
