Project is a Meta search engine, the aim of which is to create an ease of passage when searching for cheap flights, hotels and cars on the Internet. It spiders several travel sites in order to find the cheapest offers available, therefore, in essence, saving visitors both time and money.
Our goal is to provide visitors with a powerful fare comparison tool for slicing through the bewildering thicket of fares posted on a great number of Web sites. For the consumer, the migration of multiple travel sites into one central repository offers great advantages of speed, transparency and security.
I specifically wanted the Web site based around the idea of simplicity and ease of use in order to cut a swathe through the huge number of confusing travel sites out there.
When the search is complete, users are given a list of all available flights, as well as the time they have saved compared to searching individually on each supplier's Web site.
As well as finding the cheapest offers in the quickest time, it gives you a link to the flight/hotel supplier, so that you can proceed with the booking. Your booking is made direct with the supplier and not through the website. This gives people further peace of mind.

I need a website which has the features of a comparison engine. It must search and compare many travel websites getting information like hotels/flights/cars/travels like other travel websites do (sidestep, kayak, mobissimo, farechase, etc)

In this project i need layout design, graphics, coding. I would like to see some mokeups while the project is being developed.
I want a clear and easy interface (both admin and user side), a strong admin backend and a very fast search process. The first page should contains more information so it must be editable from the admin backend (example, period offers, banners for sponsors, example [url removed, login to view] ), but very easy, with the logo, search form...

Try to perform a search on [url removed, login to view] to see how they display datas while searching. To display the results I don't want to wait until the last result is delivered. So at least one output from the faster pages should be displayed even if the rest of the scripts is still processing.
at the beginning i only need the hotel part developed. In the Flights and Cars sections will be placed a search form given by affiliate programs. In the 2nd part of the project a most powerful search will be implemented too. About flights will be needed a screnscraping solution or a query on-fly on external searches.
The hardest thing is the database creation and organization, because of the great amount of informations. You have to decide how to manage it, and to suggest right technical way to proceed. You are the coder, you have to decide how it works.
The most important thing is the datafeeds import. Most providers give out csv files or XML feeds. Every merchant has to be added and configurated. I think the best way is to create a single module for every merchant. In this way i can simply request one more module if i need to add a provider. Every information should be stored in local SQL database to perform queries and comparison. I must be able to refresh database content importing new databases, or just updating it (in case they are CSV file)
by now i'd need these single plugins, one for every provider:

We have separated categories supplier. Some of them can supply more services (hotels/flights/cars) so we have to set different kind of datafeeds for every category.
All the website must be template driven and they must be easy editable.

I must have the ability to generate a map of the info i have on my database, divided by main categories (hotels/cars/flights/vacation packs) and their subcategories (countries, cities, etc ect). It is usefull to creap a sitemap.
The script has to generate static pages for every city (with the Url_rewrite technic), for example we should have

where we have the list of New York hotels, the search form above and all the other stuff we set in template.
The same for every entry in the database. In this way, we'll have thousand of autogenerated content pages.
So for single hotel it will be [url removed, login to view] where we have hotel's info and the providers' prices (with redirect to their websites)
and so on...
For those kind of pages metatags and title must be included and taken from page content or URL name.
IT MUST BE FAST AND ERRORFREE. If you have any suggestion to improve the project, feel free to propose your ideas.
I REQUIRE A FULLY DOCUMENTED PROPOSAL OF ALL ASPECTS OF THE PROJECT BROKEN DOWN INTO STAGES WITH PRICING AND TIMESCALES FOR EACH STAGE BEFORE A BID WILL BE ACCEPTED. I need to know if the programmer understood what i need, so i would like to see a review of a example site (mobissimo, sidestep...) with detailed operation you are going to perform.
I must tell in advance i don't pay any money beforehand, because i've been already screwed. I will escrow some money and i must see demos from time to time.
