Create My Zen-Cart Website

We need a database driven zen cart site.? The zen cart template needs to: (1) have several aesthetic modifications to the? index, category and home pages; (2)? allow us to upload inventory daily in a csv or similar file so? that customers cannot order out of stock items; (3) be able be able to export orders in correct format to submit to four of five different? drop shippers; (4)? need URL’s to be SEO friendly and match current site format. Current site set’s URL according to product title with an underscore in between words and in place of illegal characters. URL’s should end in .html.? Let us know if this is not possible; (5)? Need a site that allows us to easily update products.

1. Need a database driven shopping cart that will allow us to upload inventory daily in a csv or similar file so that customers cannot order out of stock items. If an item is out of stock, site either shows out of stock or that option does not show up so it cannot be selected. (We don’t want customers to select items and add them to shopping cart only to find out it is out of stock)

2. Need to be able to export orders in correct format to submit to one or more drop shippers. See attachment for format.

1. If an order contains items for more than one drop shipper, it will automatically export the order with correct format for each drop shipper separately. Example: If one order has items from 2 drop shippers, 2 different drop ship orders should be exported. One for the first drop shipper and one for the second drop shipper. Both exports contain shipping information and order #, but each is formatted for each drop shippers requirements and each contains only the products specific to that drop shipper.

3. Need URL’s to be SEO friendly and match current site format. Current site set’s URL according to product title with an underscore in between words and in place of illegal characters. URL’s should end in .html. (we do not want to loose search engine traffic when we switch site over to a database driven site.)

4. Need a site that allows us to easily update products(image, description, price, etc) with a csv file or similar.

5. Site needs to look similar to current site.

6. Home page needs to be able to display:

1. 6 or 8 of our best selling products. Site keeps track of best selling items and displays them at random each time page is visited or refreshed. Best selling products are displayed with a thumbnail and brief description and price.

2. 6-8 of our sale items. These are also displayed at random from all of our sale items.

3. 6-8 of our new items. These are also displayed at random from all of our new items. New items are items within last 30 days.

7. Each category page needs to be able to display:

1. 6 or 8 of our best selling products from that category. This should be displayed at the top of the category page before all of the regular items from this category.

2. 6-8 of our sale items from this category. This should be at the bottom of the page after all of the regular products in this category

3. 6-8 of our new items from this category within the last 30 days. This should also be displayed at the bottom of the page?

Order Manager

1.? ? ? ? Need to have multiple login admin with ability to set admin levels. Admin has all privileges. Shipping admin only has access to ordered items and shipping information along with ability to update comments on order and email customer. When a comment is submitted, admin id/signature is automatically added to end of comment.

a.? ? ? ? ? Need to be able to remove items from order which will adjust order total. Would like be able to refund difference to customers card

Customer Account Login

1.? ? ? ? Customer can choose to create an account or just make a quick one time purchase that does not create an account for them. Site defaults to creating account. If customer chooses not to create an account, they won’t have ability to login and see status of their order.

4.? ? ? ? Registered and logged in customer can select products to be notified of when it goes on sale.

5.? ? ? ? When a customers order ships, the tracking # emailed and also updated on the site so they can login and track their order.

Referrals

1. Each registered customer account has an id assigned. Each customer can send an email to a friend that will track the customer’s id. If the friend visits and makes a purchase, referring customer will receive a store credit for X amount(whatever we decide. Can be a percentage of purchase or fixed dollar amount). If you have a better way of accomplishing this then let us know.

Gift Registry

1.? ? ? ? Visitors can sign up and select items to add to their “Wish List??

2.? ? ? ? The registrant can email a message with a link to their registry to friends and family who can then visit the site and purchase items for them from the “Wish List??. As items are purchased they are removed from the list.

4.? ? ? ? Visitors can search the gift registry by name. The correct person is confirmed by viewing their address.

Shipping

1. We ship many of our own items. We use [[url removed, login to view]][1] as our USPS shipping software. This program should be integrated with our shipping manager so that we can create USPS shipping labels directly from the order manager.

2. Shipping manager should print off a pick list for whoever is preparing the order to be shipped. Once the order is picked, weighed and packaged, the total size and weight can then be entered into the order

3. We use a 2 part form for our labels. The form is a standard 8 ½?? x 11?? paper. One half should be for the shipping label and the other half should contain the customers invoice.

Stats

1.? ? ? ? Site needs to be able to track visitors including where they came from and the specific search keyword terms used to reach our site.?

2.? ? ? ? Stats should also be able to tell us our most popular pages

3.? ? ? ? Stats should be able to tell us the most popular landing pages(pages visitors come to first)
