Access Office 365 files content programmatically

I would like to access office 365 files content programmatically. You can write the code in any backend language. ideally .net but i am flexible.

The aim of this task is to be able to parse files content remotely and programmatically.

prove that this app works by:

1- create a new file of each type (excel, word, pdf, text) in OneDrive.

2- the web app should be installed on a different server from the tenant.

3- the web app should be able to request access and then access the OneDrive account and return the files' content. no formatting is needed for now.

4- extend the file content. i.e let the user on the web app change one word in a Word document that lives on the user's tenant.

The acceptance criteria:

1- create a dummy office 356 account. upload word, excel, and pdf files to the storage account.

2- from the web page that you built, either on localhost or through a free host provider, you should be able to:

√ request access to the files

√ list the root directory file names.

√ select any file (word, pdf, excel, text)

√ display the file content without formatting on the page (modal, new page, below the file tree, etc)

√ allow the user to make changes to the content.

√ modify the original file and save it programmatically.

For example, if you store a word document that contains the "hello world" text. From the web page, you should be able to display the file name and meta-data. also, retrieve its content "hello world" in a textbox. if the user changes the content of the textbox and clicks save, the original file content will change to reflect this change.

I should be able to retrieve the content of any other file including (pdf, excel, word, and text files).

To accept the work, I will run the app as per your instructions (happy to use any tools on mac). will use the app to access my onedrive. will retrieve a random document and display its content on the web page. I will make text changes and save it back. I will go to one drive and confirm that the file has changed successfully.
