I am looking for someone to help me get a product manufactured and produced. I also need help in designing the product, but I am hoping to find a manufacturer that already makes similar products so that designing the product won't be an issue.
Product: A smartphone holder that can clip to the side of a laptop monitor.
I have attached a few files of a similar product that already allows people to clip smartphones to an air conditioning vent in a car. It is called the Kenu Airframe.
I want a product that is pretty much exactly like the Kenu Airframe, but with the clip moved to the side of the holder (vs. the back). But because I'd like to sell this product, I don't want to infringe on any patents the holder must be different enough not to cause problems.
The features I would like in my product:
- simple, minimal, easy to use design
- minimal amount of plastic to reduce weight and size
- spring loaded clip to hold smartphone so that it can fit a variety of smartphone sizes
The features I would like to be different:
- the clip to be adjustable to fit several different laptops
- the clip to be positioned on the side of the holder (see attached illustrative example)
- the clip to be strong enough to hold a variety of smartphones
- the clip to be non marking or damaging to the laptop it is clipped to
I would like to get a prototype first, then if the product works well, then get this produced in a larger order size of 500+ units. If commercially viable, then continue to scale higher.
