Roylco designs, develops, manufactures and markets educational materials for younger children, three to eight years old. Most of our products focus on art education.
We would like to develop a new product working with a designer or illustrator who has a general understanding of paper engineering.
The new product is made up of die cut, printed card in a many different solid colours that children can arrange, layer, curl and fold to make fun and expressive portraits. We would like to represent many different emotions. We have a similar product that focuses on flowers. Children can curl, zig zag fold and loop die cut paper shapes to make a tropical forest of attractive plants. Here is a link to our website for that product: [login to view URL]
I am envisioning a cross between Picasso's cubist shapes and Matisse's paper cuts. The shapes need to be solid colours, without printed details.
As an example, we need flat/two dimensional shapes that can represent the face, eyes, lips, ears, eyebrows, etc., with some 3D shapes that kids can fold or curl themselves that can be used to represent eye lashes, noses, hair, etc.
This is for younger children, so the shapes should be relatively simple, but still combined in a way to allow kids some creative challenges.
The finished projects the children make should be about half the size of a A4/letter sized sheet of paper. All of the pieces need to fit onto four 8.5 x 11" sheets of paper (17 x 22" split down the middle).
We would like to finish this up in about two weeks.
Please bid on the shapes and then arranging the shapes (I can give you Pantone colour reference numbers) in to 8-16 different faces in a digital file. We will use this artwork on our website, catalogue, packaging.
