Project Title: Manage a Fundraising Event for a Charity
Description:
We are looking for someone with the skills & experience to plan, organize and manage a fundraising event or online fundraising campaign on behalf of Portucool. It will be in support of the Nazare Food Bank in Portugal with the aim of raising €300 to help purchase much-needed baby formula for underprivileged children. The event will need to take place and funds be processed before February 2024.
Scope of Work:
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the fundraising event
- Develop and implement a comprehensive event plan and timeline
- Secure a suitable venue for the event
- Manage event logistics, including registration, seating, and audiovisual needs
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure smooth event operations
- Recruit and manage volunteers for the event
- Develop and execute a marketing and promotional strategy to attract attendees and sponsors
- Oversee event budget and financial management, ensuring expenses are within budget
- Work closely with the charity's team to align event goals with the organization's mission
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in event management, preferably with fundraising events
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including volunteers, vendors, and sponsors
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies and techniques
